When Japan’s number one green tea brand partnered with MLB’s most iconic athlete, Shohei Ohtani, the goal was not awareness alone. The goal was to turn ITO EN Oi Ocha into a culturally relevant staple as ITO EN scaled its U.S. presence and fought for share in a crowded beverage category.

Solution

To support ITO EN’s North American growth strategy, we led a performance-based influencer campaign built around Shohei Ohtani that generated over 50 million views, drove ITO EN to its all-time peak in Google Search interest (over 20 years), and reached peak year-to-date Amazon search demand. We positioned Oi Ocha as more than a drink, but a staple in Asian American households
